Nigerians use many fiat gateways to buy Bitcoin across the country. One of the most common methods being Naira Debit and Credit Card.

These debit or credit card can be physical or virtual Debit or Credit card issued by Nigerian banks through providers like Mastercard or Visa Cards.

Verve card are mostly used for local transactions mostly across African countries and few international channels like Dubai etc.

Many cryptocurrency exchange platforms may or not accept buying Bitcoin with Naira using debit or credit cards due to unknown regulations or terms.

Possible reasons being that the CBN have some stringent regulations on forex markets to regulate the use of Naira for foreign currency transactions.

Remember that some banks may work on an exchange while some others may not work on other exchanges and vice versa. 

The banks listed below have popularly not worked on the majority of cryptocurrency exchanges most times. These banks include:

  • Guaranty Trust Bank 
  • Keystone Bank
  • Standard Chartered Bank etc

Popularly, the most viable option for any cryptocurrency transaction in Nigeria is P2P or Changera Virtual Dollar Card and Chipper Cash Virtual Dollar.

Nigerians popularly use Kuda Bank to buy bitcoin in Nigeria through most Bitcoin  P2P platforms. Changera Virtual Dollar Cards are mostly used to buy Bitcoin with Debit or Credit cards across Nigeria Market.
