Every year, CoinDesk recognizes the “most influential” people in the world who has made one impact or the other in the cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology. It is usually a list of 20 persons who have been on top the Crypto industry and the selection is determined by readers and the editorial staff at CoinDesk.

A Nigerian by name Olaoluwa Osuntokun has made his name to this year’s “most influential ” list, currently the CTO at Lightning Lab San Francisco bay. He was nominated for his outstanding reviews on vulnerability of Lightning Network. He has been with the company since 2016 and has made reputable achievements in and outside the crypto ecosystem.
In September 2019 Olaoluwa Osuntokun, the CTO at LN-focused startups Lightning Labs and ACINQ claimed that there are confirmed cases where the LN vulnerabilities have been exploited. He urged users to update their LN versions to avoid loss of funds.
- The Lightning Network vulnerabilities were first reported on the 30th of August by Rusty Russell a computer software programmer and LN coder, he took to Twitter to warn users to upgrade their software to avoid loss of funds
The list would end at 15 persons and the unique part of this years “most influential ” persons list is that it gets to be created by nomination of voters. CoinDesk has also made it available for you to add your own speculative candidate.
