Many individuals and banks have made donations to financially support individuals during this period of health and financial crisis in the country.

Gaius Chibueze, the CEO of AbitNetwork, a blockchain-based application company announced the donation of 3 Million Naira to help individuals cater for their needs during this hard times.

“I have set aside 3 million Naira I want to give as my own support to members of AbitTrader Community who are my registered students to support this sit at home period.”

The blockchain-based mobile application company had in the previous days encouraged it’s employees to work from home following the social distancing measures suggested by health experts in other to avoid contacting coronavirus.

Gaius Chibueze popular known as Bitcoin Chief, is the CEO of AbitNetwork and the Founder of Tatcoin “Africa’s the utility token powering AbitNetwork”.

Moreover, the federal government has put up several measures towards ensuring the safety of Nigerians during this period including the lockdown of Lagos, Ogun and the capital territory of Abuja.

Nigeria through the CBN has set up N50 billion relief funds to help households survive during this period of financial crisis. Food items is being shared by the Lagos state government to individuals affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Some blockchain experts has encouraged the government to utilize blockchain technology in solving the spread of the virus and also in the distribution of food items to households.

Meanwhile, World Health Organisation–WHO, has developed a new blockchain-based platform called MiPasa. MiPasa helps in early detection of COVID-19 carriers and infection hotspots. 

MiPasa works by privately sharing information on COVID-19 between individuals, state authorities and health institutions through the use of high tools technology ontop a dedicated user app.
