Wema Bank, a pioneer of Africa’s fully digital bank ALAT in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria, has announced the call for entry in the FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme for Youth and MSMEs.

The program aims to train 2,000,000 Nigerian youth and 1,000,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the nation, the FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme launched officially on September 29th, 2023.
Participants will embark on a structured curriculum covering various essential digital skills including; Software engineering, product management, business analysis, cloud computing, and product design.
Wema Bank’s Executive Director of Retail and Digital Business, Tunde Mabawonku, said, “The FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme is a transformative opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, job seekers, and professionals across Nigeria. The programme will build a marketplace for young entrepreneurs to gain digital skills that would open doors to sustainable career development and expose small-scale business owners to funding and grants.”
To participate in this exceptional opportunity, interested individuals can register and apply HERE between 13th October 2023 to 31st October 2023.
After the application process concludes, selected participants will be shortlisted and the FGN-ALAT Digital Skillnovation Hubs will be commissioned for training across the nation in a phased approach. Each hub will be equipped with cutting-edge facilities, meticulously designed to foster an immersive and conducive learning environment that ignites the spark of curiosity and innovation in every participant.
The initiative aims to provide financial solutions, training, and access to strategic partnerships, empowering young employees to become an integral part of Nigeria’s workforce, especially those deployed through the NYSC.
