Serena Williams revealed she had invested in over 30 companies worldwide including coinbase through her business brand Serena Ventures .
“I launched Serena Ventures with the mission of giving opportunities to founders across an array of industries. Serena Ventures invests in companies that embrace diverse leadership, individual empowerment, creativity and opportunity.”
According to the official website of Serena Ventures, the market cap of the portfolio is over $12 billion. The diversity of the founders of the companies in which the firm had invested is 60%.
Serena Ventures further notes that the firm is focused at empowering early stage companies. Also encourages collaboration among portfolio companies and expanding partnership opportunities.
Serena Jameka Williams was born on September 26, 1981. She is an American professional tennis player who has held the top spot in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She had won 23 Grand Slam single titles marking an all time record. Which is second to Margret Court with 24 Grand Slam single titles.
