Binance Opens Fiat Gateway For Nigerian Naira Through Flutterwave

    Binance the largest world cryptocurrency exchange has opened a new fiat gateway for Nigeria Naira deposits and withdrawals through flutterwave partnership.

    Binance announced its partnership with flutterwave payment channel today in other to allow Nigerians deposit and withdraw Naira on its cryptocurrency exchange through the gateway.

    “What we do at Flutterwave is, create possibilities for the everyday African to become prosperous. We create opportunities for the everyday African to reach prosperity levels that were beyond them in the past. That’s what this partnership is about. Africans are firmly part of the global financial community, Flutterwave is ensuring this”

    In other to help reach most African users according to the announcement, Binance will be integrating more local African fiat gateways like BTC/KES (Kenyan Shilling) and BTC/ZAR (South African Rand) in the future. 

    “Africa has illustrated one of the largest demands and instrumental use cases for cryptocurrency, notably for financial access, in the world’s second-largest continent”

    Nigeria Naira users will be charged zero deposit fees on the gateway pegged at 100 USD equivalent in NGN. Starting from 2019-10-24 a total giveaway of 10,000 USD will be offered on the first-come-first-served base on Binance.
