Davido, Africa’s mega superstar has partnered with Africa’s crypto payments application Bitsika, to drive payments and money transfer across the continent.
Davido announced the partnership update through his Instagram and Twitter handle yesterday 8th October, 2020.

Bitsika turned the most trending topic now across Africa especially in Nigeria. Bitsika aims to be the Cashapp of Africa enabling faster movement of funds across borders with only a hashtag.
Bitsika has grown in number achieving some significant milestones including:
- Bitsika Q3 numbers (July 1st to September 30th 2020).
- $16,954,746.46 processed (deposits and withdrawals).
- 17,917 new users.
- 90,679 successful transactions.
- 7,412 people made at least one successful transaction.
These figures are from Atsu Davoh of Bitsika Africa.
These numbers most have increased drastically following Atsu Davoh’s tweet signalling a huge traffic overload on servers.

Following launch, Davido announced giveaway in 100,000 naira each to possible winners to drive individuals into adopting the Bitsika mobile app.
Davido is the owner of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide) which have produced top selling Nigerian and African musicians including Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Ichaba, Yonda among others. The group is popularly known as the 30BG Gang.

Davido have won several awards, made outstanding sales across Apple Music etc and topped bill boards across Africa and across the globe. He has over 7 million followers on Twitter and 17.7 million on Instagram.
Asa Asika, DMW manager commenting on the partnership through his instagram page said they are now part of making Bitsika the cure payments to payments and mobile transfers across Africa.
The move has drown a lot of users to Bitsika and signalled adoption of crypto across Africa.
