One of the best online banking services providers in Nigeria GTBank has now reviewed it’s Naira Card spending limit from $100 up to $200.
Recently, most Nigerian banks reviewed the international monthly spending limit on the Naira Mastercard credit and debit cards to comply with recent regulation of dollar by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Notable among them is Ecobank that allows only $20 per month on its bank Naira Card. Also Zenith Bank reduced theirs to $100 per month.
GTBank remains the only bank with a higher spending limit on Naira Cards for International transactions across other Nigerian banks.
Most crypto exchange platforms have disabled buying Bitcoin with some Naira Cards for some Nigerian banks’ cards due to uncertain compliant protocols for naira to crypto card transactions.
The new upgrade looks like an optimistic approach towards the previous $500 threshold and a possible friendly access for crypto exchanges via card transactions.
