Pepsi has announced the release of the company’s party themed NFT titled ; Pepsi Mic Drop from it’s Genesis Collection, according to a media release on it’s blog today.

The Pepsi Mic Drop genesis NFT is a generative-style collection of unique NFTs that live on the Ethereum blockchain. A nod to the year Pepsi was born, each of our 1,893 genesis tokens are created using nearly 50 unique attributes across 6 categories, including microphones, stages, accessories, and more.
The idea behind the concept the company noted thus; “Pepsi and music have been intertwined for decades, and our genesis NFT collection pays homage to our love of pop stars and musical legends while setting the stage for what’s to come in the world of Pepsi NFTs. This will be a Mic Drop of epic proportions!”
You will need MetaMask to mint one of the Pepsi Mic Drop NFTs. Install the chrome extension or download the mobile app to get started.
Pepsi Mic Drop NFT will be free, but you will need to pay a small transaction fee (referred to as “gas”) to the Ethereum network to mint the NFT. You can directly deposit to your MetaMask wallet or use a popular exchange like Coinbase, Gemini, any exchange compatible with MetaMask Wallet or a service like MoonPay to acquire a small amount of ETH. Typically 0.1 ETH will be more than sufficient for gas, but gas can vary depending on how busy the network is.
You may need to transfer ETH from Coinbase or Gemini to your MetaMask wallet. Please follow their guides for sending ETH to your wallet address (starts with “0x”). Once transferred, you will be ready to cover the cost of gas to mint your Pepsi Mic Drop NFT!
