Polygon (MATIC), one of the fastest-growing Layer 2 protocols that have been making waves for its minimal gas fees, has been added to Trust Wallet.

The integration of Polygon on Trust Wallet comes after the voting was done by the community on the blockchain using the Trust Wallet Token (TWT).
Trust Wallet confirms that the new integration would help the user community make use of the minimal gas fees and faster transactions that are available through the Polygon ($MATIC) Chain.
The proposal was only voted by those who hold the governance tokens of the wallet, the TWT.
This new integration on Trust Wallet will be beneficial to the Polygon network as new users will flow from the Trust Wallet large community of users into the blockchain.
This will further boost the Polygon network which has been growing and expanding with more users and developers building on it since it rebranded to Polygon.
Though the network is a side chain on the Ethereum network, it serves as a better option for ethereum networks users and developers due to the decrease in fees. But with increased traffic comes increasing issues, which is likely to lead to congestion and increased fees.
