Telegram; one of the top 10 messaging apps worldwide plans to launch her Telegram Open Network (TON) early March 2019. As was gathered from Cointelegrah.
The 200+ million users messaging app which had her ICO for the proposed launch of an Open Network based on Blockchain Technology had generated over $1.7billion during her Private Sales last year.
The project is aimed to function as a platform for exchange of data which will be powered by the platform native cryptocurrency GRAM.
CEO of Telegram Messaging App, Pavel Durov had disclosed to Telegram that the platform will launch on early March 2019 though date remains subject to change. It was previously reported on a Russian Business Media Outlet that the Platform is 90% Ready for Launch.
Rumours has it that the former Chelsea FC owner, Roman Abramovich backed the project, two other entrepreneurs—co-founder of payment service Qiwi, Sergei Solonin, and co-founder of dairy giant Wimm-Bill-Dann, David Yakobashvili — publicly confirmed their investments to date.
The app was banned in Russia following Durov’s refusal to disclose the encryption keys to the authority as was required by the country’s telecom laws though over 10 million users had been recorded.
