Libra Launch
As per the twitter thread from Hollywood Editor Alex Weprin. Twitter CEO Dorsey says twitter will and is not planning to join the launch of the Libra cryptocurrency by Facebook..
Twitter CEO Dorsey had reportedly gave a straight forward answer when asked about Twitter joining Libra Association by Ben Smith, Editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed.
Hell No! “Nothing within Libra had to be a cryptocurrency to do what they wanted to do.”

Giving reasons for not considering Libra to bitcoin cryptocurrency, Dorsey said Zuckerberg’s speech at Georgetown University focused on the subject of freedom of speech, censorship and the role of tech platforms should play in democracy.
“I fear that if we base too much in this one concept, we take away the ability to experiment and expand,” he explained.
Dorsey had already made it clear that Twitter have no intentions on creating any twitter cryptocurrency but will prefer using already existing digital currency. Explaining further he said,
“I think Bitcoin is the best bet because it’s been the most resilient, it’s around for 10 years, it has a great brand, and it’s been tested a bunch. As I look at all cryptocurrencies that could fill that role of being the native currency for the internet, Bitcoin is a pretty high probability.”
