Don Jazzy wants the Nigeria Government to vonduct the next Election coming up on 2023 using blockchain technology to maintain transparency and trust in election results.

Following the on-going #EndSARS protest in Nigeria which has given Bitcoin a new legitimate face amidst efforts to sustain the protest through funds donations.  Blockchain Technology has seen a new light for the Youths on their pursuit towards transparency and accountability for good governance in Nigeria.

It started with the naira account deactivation of a top fundraiser which prompted the group to resort to Bitcoin donations using BTC Pay. 

The campaign for donations in Bitcoin saw the platform raising over 0.5 Bitcoin within 24 hours. Earlier before that, platforms like Bundle Africa, a social payments app have already donated to the cause using BUSD (Binance USD) stablecoin.

After few days, Feminist Coalition Group announced that it’s officially taking donations only using Bitcoin though it’s fiat channels is still open for donations. This made many Nigerians to start looking out on how to send donations in Bitcoin.

Today, Don Jazzy a top pioneer of Bitcoin in Nigeria also known to be the Bitcoin Celebrity Chief, lended his voice for a more transparent governance suggesting the use Blockchain Technology for conducting elections across Nigeria.

He had also supported Bitcoin traders across the country during the #EndSARS campaign noting that Bitcoin is not a crime
