Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange worldwide finally launches it’s branch in Uganda. The largest cryptocurrency exchange worldwide by trading volume of over 1.7 Billion USD. Binance process up to 1.4 million transactions per second.
Binance Uganda will start trading on 17th of October 2018 with initial deposit of Ugandan Shilling (UGX) made available. BTC and ETH trading pairs will be the first to exist. More pairs will be added in the future.
“We are extremely proud to officially launch our first fiat-crypto exchange in Uganda,”
said Wei Zhou, CFO at Binance.
“We have been diligently preparing for this exchange with our local partners since our team first visited Uganda in April 2018. This is only the first step in our efforts to use blockchain technology to support sustainable economic development in Africa, and we look forward to bringing more innovations to the region.”
The exchange will help speed up the blockchain adoption worldwide. Its noted also that the Binance CEO was present during the Blockchain Conference Uganda. So far the success of the conference gave birth to the new exchange.
Binance moving to Uganda is huge!
It shows that Africa is the next market to explore.
