Bitcoin Meet-up: Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey At A Bitcoin Meet-up In Nigeria.

Some of the known personalities in the cryptocurrency field were present at the Bitcoin meet-up in Nigeria. Some other remarkable events was held today aside the Bitcoin meet-up.
Some personalities at the meet-up include Munachi of yellowcard.io and Yele Bademosi of Binance.
Concerning other activities that went on during Dorsey’s visit. Dara Oladosu, a Nigerian Tech Developer and founder of Quoted Replies was offered a job at Twitter. He will help build a native “quoted tweet” feature for the platform.
Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, is currently in Nigeria to meet and greet with media personalities and Tech developers in Nigeria.
At the meeting, Dara’s app, Quoted Replies, a Twitter-based bot was discussed. The bot helps users of the platform to find quoted replies of tweets.
Users will not have to go through the hassle of copying, pasting, and searching for it.
Dara built the bot in December 2018 after he found out a way to copy a tweet’s link and search Twitter for its quoted replies.
Kayvon Beykpour, the product lead at twitter who was on the panel with Dorsey, asked Dara to join them. He will help Twitter develop this feature which is not originally on the app.
If there is a place around the world where cryptocurrencies show an increased adoption then it has to be in Africa, precisely in Nigeria. Nigeria is purportedly the Silicon Valley of Cryptocurrency in Africa.
Moreover, Nigeria has the highest number of persons searching the word cryptocurrency on Google search trends.
The largest economy in Nigeria is currently at the highest economic crisis of all time shifting the attention of the government from oil exports, expanding into financial services, new technologies including Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency.
