    Storing cryptocurrency in Africa is most common in South Africa, according to the Statista Global Consumer Survey. Most popular cryptocurrency platforms like Luno in Africa operates from South Africa.

    On a global base, storing cryptocurrency is most common in Turkey. One in five Turks said they had used or currently owned cryptocurrency in the 2019 online poll from Statista.com.

    On a global scale,cryptocurrency users were mostly located in Latin America, according to the survey. Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Chile all recorded higher digits when it comes to the adoption of cryptocurrency.

    Surprisingly, Spain was the country with one of the highest adoption rates in Europe. Eastern European countries and some Asian countries, also scored higher than Western European and English-speaking nations.

    Japan, has the lowest score rate from the chart survey. People living in Japan rarely owns cryptocurrency notwithstanding the favorable legal condition in Japan.
