Before now, he is a shareholder at Bitsika, purportedly referred to as the Cash App of Africa. A multi-purpose mobile app with crypto services included.
Davido recently tweeted that he is thinking of starting a bitcoin trading company to his large follower base of 8.8 million on Twitter, the largest followed music celebrities on Twitter in Africa.

Davido partnered with Bitsika in October 2020 following a public announcement. According to him, this is his first partnership with a FinTech platform.
Bitcoin adoption in Africa is growing on a daily and steady basis. A recent report claims that only 1.4million – 2.5million Africans use crypto today compared to over 400m who use digital payments.

That’s a 0.35-0.625% adoption rate – we have not even reached the “Early Adopters” phase of the innovation diffusion curve”
At this early phase of adoption, launching a credible bitcoin trading company in Africa will be a big win for Davido.
