Call For Crypto Adoption: Protesters Resort to Bitcoin Donation Following it’s Naira Bank Account Deactivation.
Bitcoin Donation for #EndSARS campaign. Earlier before now, individuals and other organizations looking to fund and donate to the #EndSARS campaign have being doing so using Naira through bank deposit and mobile money transfer.
The Feminist Coalition Group which is among other organizations helping to financially support individuals injured in the police brutality campaign got their account deactivated few hours ago.
According to the tweet the Flutterwave payment link used to help collect donations was also deactivated stranding persons looking to fund the organisation after they raised up to 10 million Naira.
The organisation had no other option than to resort to Bitcoin Donation to allow them raise funds and send same across to the organisation for supporting protesters with foods, medicals and any other needs.
While many Nigerians are yet to understand what is Bitcoin and how to use it for donation, this is a big signal across the whole country and Africa to both the banked and unbanked on the decentralized nature of Bitcoin which lacks zero central control.

Moreover, the police brutality and #EndSARS (End Special Anti-Robbery Squad) campaign which also a decentralized movement which according to the information gathered lacks no leader and now uses decentralized finance via Bitcoin donation.
The use of Bitcoin for donations will not only enlighten people on the legitimacy of Bitcoin, but also it will enlighten the government and some other bodies on the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
Earlier before now, experts believe that Africa will spearhead and lead in the adoption of cryptocurrency across the world due to the unstable traditional way of finance across the region.
