Latest Report Shows a Decrease in the Rate of Blockchain Attacks in 2020
Latest crypto fraud report from Atlas VPN suggests a drastic decrease in the rate of cryptocurrency and Blockchain hacks through the course of the year 2020.

In a report released by Atlas VPN providers on the 28th of Oct, it was stated that compared to the year 2019, Blockchain attacks have decreased more than three times this same period of the previous year.
According to these analysts, in 2019 a total of $4.4 billion was recorded under cryptocurrency theft only unlike in 2018 where $1.7 billion was recorded basically through crypto thefts and scams. A total of $13.6 billion was stolen by crypto scam perpetrators through 330 blockchain hacks since 2009.
It was found that the most successful fraud hits happened on the EOS-based decentralized apps, or DApps, following suit cryptocurrency exchanges; blockchain wallets with the Ethereum DApps taking the least.
According to the reports, the year 2019 was indeed filled with fortune for these hackers as it was greatly exploited by them to a great count of about 133 successful invasions.
When asked about the general outlook for the year, the report clearly disclosed that 2020 can not possibly break the records of the gruesome records of 2019.
In their words; “Since 2020 is not over, we can expect more blockchain-related breaches to happen before the end of the year. Nevertheless, based on the historical data, it seems that 2020 will not reach the record heights of last year, and blockchain hacks will remain on the decline.”
So far, it is quite sure that blockchain hacks for this year will constantly remain on a sharp decline. It is evident that we are being left with a tinge of hope from these analysts and to this, we keep our fingers crossed and await positivity with high optimism.
